As you’ll learn through my blog, I am thirtysomething, with a dog, two cats, and a sweetie pie (partner/husband/whatever). I grew up in a dinky college town called Indiana Pennsylvania (home of Jimmy Stewart, Christmas Tree Capital of the World, and self-proclaimed ‘gateway to Pittsburgh’. I’m still convinced the last was sarcasm on the part of the city council. One, because it’s Pittsburgh. Two, because it’s a ninety-minute drive over bad small roads to get to Pittsburgh.)

After Indiana, I spent two years in Great Britain, through a wonderful opportunity to escape and go to an international boarding school for my senior year of high school and first year of college. I then returned to Pennsylvania for college and grad schools, and have now spent the past 8 years living in Silicon Valley, enjoying the high-tech world.
